Change Starts in the Changing Rooms – Sweaty Betty Foundation
Our trailblazing Year 10 students are at the forefront of the nationwide campaign launched today, Tuesday 17th June by the Sweaty Betty Foundation. The Foundation has undertaken research into girls' participation in PE and found that 1 in 3 students ceases participating due to their changing room experiences. This, then affects their attitude towards their own health and wellbeing as they approach adulthood.
HAB is one of five schools chosen to take part in a competition to redesign the changing rooms to make them into a welcoming, positive and empowering spaces where students look forward to both changing and participating. Our students here at HAB are the architects of change. Here is the link to the Campaign:

As the Foundations asks, please share and have your say! While we particularly want to hear from girls themselves, we also need insights from supporters who can help us understand how to better listen to and act on what girls are telling us. The “Have your Say” form is coming soon on the campaign website.
