Students Gain Real-World Business Experience at Entrepreneurs Academies Challenge
On June 30th, we had the exciting opportunity to take part in the Entrepreneurs Academies Challenge, held at the NatWest Moorgate Event Hub. The event was organised by the Worshipful Company of Entrepreneurs—a modern livery company in the City of London that supports entrepreneurship across the UK—and funded by NatWest Bank. Hosted by well-known entrepreneur Paddy Willis, the challenge gave us hands-on experience running a simulated phone business. We tackled real-world business tasks across finance, marketing, research, and team management, gaining valuable insights into what it takes to build and grow a successful company.
One of the most inspiring parts of the day was meeting two successful entrepreneurs, Johnny Manning and Tee Dobinson, who shared their career journeys with us. They encouraged us to adopt a “yes, I can do it” mindset and to be bold in the face of uncertainty. Their stories gave us hope, motivation, and the confidence to pursue our own entrepreneurial ideas—whether or not we know exactly where they might lead.
