Uniform for new students - how to order

The Stevensons website is now live with our uniform, and you are now able to order HAB uniform. You can select the delivery to either your home address or HAB. If you are selecting HAB then please put your daughter’s name as the recipient so we can ensure we can organise appropriately.

We are aware that there are some delays on receiving uniform items from Stevensons and fully understand that some Year 7 girls will not be in full HAB uniform on their first date on 3rd September. Please be reassured that girls will not be sanctioned for this and we anticipate all missing uniform items will be delivered in time for Monday 7th September.

Please note we will be adhering to Covid-19 regulations for clothing retail shops at this event, and as a result there will be some limitations, including adhering to social distancing at all times, as well as the time you should come onto site. We have split the year group into 30 minute slots. Please do arrive onto site at the time indicated below by your surname in alphabetical order:

Abdi – Ali

Aliu – Batista Evora

Bell – Danaci

Danfa – Fernandes

Frimpong – Jones

Joseph – Lee-Comber

Lewis – Moya-Jaldin

Mrozowska – Oyelaja

Pala – Stupple

Tak - Zhang

If online ordering is a worry for you, there will also be an offer for you to bring cash and buy vouchers on the day, which you will then be able to use to order the uniform on your phone or on laptops that we will have ready for your use whilst onsite.

When you place your order, there will be free delivery for orders over £50. You can select your own address or Harris Bermondsey as the delivery location. If you are ordering to Harris Bermondsey, please do put your daughter’s name on the delivery item so we can ensure we keep orders packaged up and Covid secure.

Although there are some manufacturing delays at present, you are still able to order these items online, they will just arrive at a later delivery date than the items that are in stock. This is the case for our blazers which will be delivered from the 31st August. Please do not worry, there will be no expectation that Year 7 students are in their blazers until Monday 7th September.

Summer provision

During the summer break, we hope that our students and their families will have time for some rest, relaxation and to enjoy some free time. We hope to be in a position soon to send you details about the ‘Head Start for September’ pack of activities which we hope will help your daughter be ready to re-join face-to-face learning in September.

I know many families might worry about what their daughters have missed and how they will catch up. I want to reassure you that it is our responsibility to ensure that your daughter has every opportunity to achieve her full potential at HAB. We recognise that there will be learning gaps to be filled when your daughters return and have very carefully planned our curriculum so that every girl has the chance to reach her full potential. We will take great care to support your daughter with this and we are very confident that it is achievable for all girls.

September reopening

Once your daughter has had her Year 7 inducation day on Thursday 3rd September she will attend every day thereafter. In order to ensure that we can induct all students into the new Covid-secure procedures at school we will induct one or two year groups at a time. We will also keep contact with you over the summer period to make sure that you are updated about any changes there might be, should the government guidance change.

Support for girls

6 5132 eWe know that every family has faced challenges during this time. These challenges will be ongoing for some time.  As we open full time to all girls in September we will ensure there is time devoted to the emotional wellbeing of your daughters. In preparation for this, our teachers have been trained in how to support the return to school by an organisation called Trauma Informed Schools UK and a key group of teachers have been trained to deliver a ten-week mindfulness course to all pupils. These two training courses will allow us to be responsive to the needs of every girl when they return to school

Our priority is always ensuring the physical and psychological safety of the children in our care, and of all members of our community. We want HAB to be safe and to feel safe for all.

If there is anything you wish to ask us, or to have our support with, please don’t hesitate to contact us. Please see the list of key contacts, also highlighted in the webinars, below:
