Results Days
A Level and CTEC Results Day – 13th August 2026
GCSE Results Day – 20th August 2026
Students must attend school in-person to collect their results, we cannot e-mail them or release them on the phone.
Exam Day – Timings and Equipment
It is essential to arrive early for exams (08.25 at the latest for morning exams). This reduces stress and allows students to go to the toilet before the exam – they are not allowed to go during the exam except in exceptional circumstances.
Students must have their own equipment. They should bring two black ball-point pens, a pencil, eraser, sharpener, ruler, and any other writing equipment or maths equipment needed (calculator, protractor, compass).
They can only bring in water in a clear disposable bottle, with the label removed. No other food or drink is allowed.
Examination and Assessment Rules
The school has a duty to ensure every exam and assessment is completed fairly with no element of malpractice. The school is inspected annually by the Joint Council for Qualifications (JCQ) to ensure it meets this duty.
A simple-guide to the rules on Exam Day is here.
A guide to the risks of Social Media use and Examinations is here.
All students attend an exams regulations assembly. This assembly also gives tips on how to cope with anxiety before exams. A copy of the assembly is here.
After the assembly students sign the ‘JCQ Information for Candidates – written exams’ form, consenting to follow the exam rules. Student Sign Exams Rules.
All students completing Non-Examined Assessments NEA’s (coursework) receive an assembly/briefing on the rules of NEA’s. Copy of assembly is here.
After the assembly students sign the ‘JCQ Information for Candidates – NEA’ form, consenting to follow the assessment rules.
The school’s Exams and Assessments Malpractice Policy can be found here.
The school’s Internal Appeals Procedure, including details of appeals to marking of internally-assessed components, is found here.
We wish all our students the best of luck in their exams and assessments.
