Jack Petchey Speak Out Challenge - Confidence Takes the Stage

60 of our Year 10 students took part in the Jack Petchey’s Speak Out Challenge workshop — and what a day it was!

Led by expert public speaking coaches, the students discovered the power of their voices through engaging activities, team challenges, and confidence-building exercises. By the end of the session, everyone had the opportunity to step up and deliver their own short speech — with topics ranging from serious to hilarious!

The workshop, funded by the Speaker’s Trust, is all about helping young people find their voice, build self-belief, and speak out with confidence — skills that will last a lifetime.

We’re so proud of our Year 10s for embracing the challenge with enthusiasm, courage, and creativity.

A special shout out to our workshop winners: Mercy, Anae, Natalia, Leia, Krisa, Angelina, Zainab, and Maha! Only one will be selected to move to the Regional Finals…

A huge thank you to the Jack Petchey Speak Out Challenge team for inspiring our students to stand tall and speak out!
