Open Evening at Harris Academy Bermondsey

An evening of song, experiments and games to show everything we have to offer.

Our new Year 7 students formed the perfect choir to welcome prospective Year 6 pupils to our school and to share what they have been doing during their first month of secondary school. Their rendition of When I Grow Up from Matilda was brilliantly executed and demonstrated the wonderful community they have already built together.

Prospective parents and students were also welcomed by our Principal, Gizle Landman, who delivered a spectacular speech about our school values and what life at Harris Academy Bermondsey looks like. Guided by some of our brilliant students, it was then time for an interactive tour around the school.

Throughout the evening, parents and students explored different departments, where teachers and students proudly showcased their work. The gym hosted an exciting obstacle course, followed by food tasting in the canteen. In the art room, students offered personalised printing, while our science department wowed visitors with fun experiments. It was also wonderful to see prospective students eagerly joining in with the quizzes and activities run by our Humanities and English departments.

Parents and students also had the opportunity to speak directly with teachers and pupils about the Harris Academy Bermondsey experience and discover how tailored and special our school really is.
