Exploration Week: Learning Beyond the Classroom
A celebration of creativity, curiosity, and real-world learning across the curriculum.
Exploration Week has offered students a rich variety of opportunities to step outside the usual curriculum and engage in meaningful, hands-on learning experiences. From participating in Model United Nations debates and creating citizenship manifestos, to exploring identity through art, calligraphy, and gallery visits, students have immersed themselves in creative and thought-provoking projects.
Across different subjects, students took part in activities that linked their learning to real-life situations. These included science and maths challenges, as well as sessions on careers, wellbeing, and global issues. Exploration Week truly reflected our core values by encouraging ambition, compassion, and respect.
“I loved how the artwork drew on real images and experiences—telling the stories of everyday people.”
— Year 9 Art Student
Exploration Week has shown students how their learning can apply beyond the classroom in real and inspiring ways.
