Year 10 Harris Experience trip to Carmen at the Royal Opera House

Harris Experience is a cultural and academic enhancement programme for our most able students. The programme spans over three years. During that time, we aim to broaden the cultural and academic experiences of some of our most able students, to give them outstanding preparation for some of the country’s top university destinations, including Oxford and Cambridge. 

"I just saw the opera Carmen and I enjoyed it. The music was so powerful—I even knew a few songs. I was completely drawn into Carmen’s fiery, fearless personality and the way she captivated everyone around her. The story was intense and emotional, filled with love, jealousy, and tragic choices. The singing and acting were incredible—it felt like the characters were alive right in front of me. This was my first opera, and now I totally understand why people are so passionate about it."
