Year 7 Create a Bookbuzz with Book Trust Reading Programme

Every year HAB takes part in a wonderful project called Bookbuzz. It’s one of our favourite literary times of the year, along with World Book Day.

Bookbuzz is a reading programme from BookTrust that aims to help schools inspire a love of reading in 11 to 13-year-olds.

As a participating school, our Year 7 students have the opportunity to choose their own book to take home and keep from a list of 16 titles. Click HERE to see the list.

The books are all carefully selected by a panel of experts to ensure quality, suitability and to encourage reading for pleasure.

During library lessons last week, students in Year 7 were discussing front covers, exploring genres and voting for their favourite books before making their final choices. 

Students can’t wait for December when their books will arrive!
