thanks. It takes meaningful actions to show other LGBT+ communities that you stand with them. During times like these it takes all of us - that includes you, me, us and we - to step up and show that we are truly there for one another. Reply to opt-out.

My account had been hacked for the past 2 months. I have lost roughly 6000 followers but I am determined to bounce back, so I can continue to reach out about racing and improve the diversity in sport. It would help me massively if you could follow, repost and share my insta page

We're calling on everyone who would've taken part in to make an act of allyship for an LGBT+ community other than their own. Our goal is to reach 30,000 acts - one for every person who would've marched. Hit the ❤️ button to make your pledge.

Wellbeing Wednesday - Synergy

It is very important that we acknowledge and learn to celebrate everyone’s differences; celebrating differences is the foundation of our Wellbeing Wednesday theme for this week: Synergy.

Synergy is achieved when “two or more people work together to create a better solution than either could alone.” In the 7 Habits of Highly Effective Teens by Sean Covey, he provides the following analogy about synergy:

“Have you ever seen a flock of geese heading south for the winter in a V formation? By flying in a V formation, the whole flock can fly 71% further than if each bird flew alone. When a goose flaps its wings, it creates a updraft for the goose that follows. As the lead goose gets tired, it will rotate to the back of the V and allow another goose to take the lead position. The geese in the back honk to encourage those in the front.” By sharing in each other’s draft, taking turns in the lead position, honking encouragement, they accomplish so much more together." Covey.S. (1998) The 7 habits of highly effective teens. New York. Simon and Schuster Paperbacks

At HAB you will notice that we encourage you to respect all within our community - and our individual talents, gifts and ideas. If we didn’t have this value as our foundation, then synergy wouldn’t work. We wouldn’t be able to achieve some of the amazing outcomes that we have achieved so far.

At HAB you will notice that we encourage you to respect all within our community. Talents, gifts, ideas etc,  if we didn’t have this value as our foundation, then synergy wouldn’t work, we wouldn’t be able to achieve some of the amazing outcomes that we have achieved so far.  All staff at HAB want you to be happy and confident, and so we work in synergy creating a powerful knowledge rich  curriculum, so that you can be as ambitious as you like, as well as a tailored personal development curriculum, so that you learn ways to be informed about yourself and others; everything that we do together, is so that you can be the best you possible.

To build and create synergy, you have to see that each individual is unique and valuable. Synergy is everywhere, in all aspects of life from nature to the workplace.

Every part of your life requires co-operation and working with others. It is also important to find out what it is that you bring to the table too; what talents, gifts, knowledge or wisdom can you offer, to create synergy?
