Wellbeing Wednesday - New Beginnings

Our theme for this week is New Beginnings, and for our year 10 and 12 students, next week will definitely be a New Beginning for you, when you return to school to connect and engage with your teachers in a new environment.

But no need to fear, because the school has made sure that all guidelines relating to you and your safety have been put in place. We look forward to seeing you.

New beginnings means a fresh start, letting go of the past, freeing yourselves of disappointments and embracing everything positive with a new perspective and all of the wonderful possibilities that await you in the future. Sometimes it's hard to think about new beginnings, especially when your current situation doesn’t portray any glimmer of hope or positivity; but this is the time to put all that you have been exposed to in the past seven weeks into practice. You have acquired knowledge about ambition, resilience, exploration, compassion, relationships and the value of dark times; what good is that knowledge if you don’t act upon it?

Each one of the themes has given you a chance to learn new skills, reflect and to evaluate your unique purpose in the world. Start thinking about how you would like HAB to support your personal ambitions and thinking about what our HAB community would look like if you displayed all your gifts and virtues.
