Congratulations on Your Bronze Duke of Edinburgh Awards
A huge congratulations to all our Year 10 and Year 13 students who have completed their Bronze Duke of Edinburgh Award.
So far 13 students have completed the award and more are due to complete it soon. In order to achieve the Bronze award HAB students have completed in total:
- 276+ hours of volunteering
- 276+ hours of physical activity
- 324+ hours of learning new skills
- And walked 1766km!
We’re so #ProudToBeHAB of you all that we made this special cake to celebrate your achievements.
What students say…
- “Dofe was one of the most stressful times of my life so far but one I will never regret doing it has helped me develop my skills, bonds with my friends and a chance to further my opportunities. I have made a lot of memories I will never forget.”
- “A life-changing experience.”
- “DofE was shocking – I didn’t expect it to be like this. It has changed my life. I have become more resilient and determined.”
Ms Morris, volunteer section assessor, said: "A huge thank you to all girls involved in helping other students learn by becoming Reader Leaders. You might not know it but you have changed lives. You have empowered the girls who you worked with by giving them the greatest gift of all – the gift of reading. If you can read you can be anything you want to be, go anywhere you want to go. You can conquer the world!”
