Girls Allowed – A Day of Sport, Sunshine and Soundtracks!
Today we had the fantastic opportunity to welcome the ESP Foundation and their brilliant Girls Allowed programme to school for a day dedicated to empowering girls through sport, fun, and fitness.
The Girls Allowed initiative is all about breaking down barriers to physical activity for girls, helping them build confidence, teamwork, and a love for movement in a space that's inclusive, fun, and pressure-free. It's designed to encourage girls to get active, try new things, and most importantly – enjoy themselves while doing it.
Our Year 8 and 9 students spent the day rotating through a vibrant carousel of activities on the 3G pitch and tennis courts, including Virtual Reality fitness, Football, Boxing, Dance, Fun Fitness, and Basketball Bounce. With a live DJ keeping the energy high and the music flowing, the atmosphere was electric – even in the 30°C heat!
A huge thank you goes to Ms Kelly, who has previously worked alongside the ESP Foundation and helped bring this inspiring day to life. All of the students took part with amazing enthusiasm and were even treated to gifts at the end of the event.
We’re also incredibly grateful to the ESP Foundation coaches, who brought such positive energy, expert instruction, and encouragement to every session. And of course, hats off to our amazing Year 10 photographers, Amelia and Nicole, who worked hard to capture all the fun, movement, and moments of the day.
It was a day to remember – full of empowerment, activity, and fun – and a brilliant reminder of the power of sport to inspire, uplift, and unite.
