Kinetika Bloco Workshop Brings Carnival Spirit to Harris Academy Bermondsey

On Thursday, July 11th, Harris Academy Bermondsey was transformed into a vibrant hub of music and dance as we welcomed the talented team from Kinetika Bloco for an unforgettable workshop. Eighty of our students had the unique opportunity to immerse themselves in the dynamic world of steel pans, samba drumming, and brass and woodwind instruments.

Guided by the expert staff from Kinetika Bloco, students quickly mastered a piece of music, showcasing their ability to learn and perform to a high standard. The workshop culminated in a lively carnival-style performance, with students playing two shows during each of the different key stage lunches. The energy and enthusiasm were palpable as our students danced and played with confidence and joy.

The event was a resounding success, highlighting the incredible talent and adaptability of our students. It was a day filled with rhythm, laughter, and creativity, leaving everyone eager for more musical adventures in the future.
