Igniting Literary Enthusiasm: HAB Library's Vibrant Literary Tea Party Engages Students in Creative Activities

Transforming into a hub of enchantment, the Academy Library played host to an electric Literary Tea Party on Monday, February 5th. Curated by the school librarian to honour the wonders of literature, the event buzzed with upbeat activities and contagious energy.

Students dove head first into the world of potion-making, channelling their inner wizards and witches as they concocted imaginative brews. With ingredients like fire water and fairy dust, each potion carried the essence of beloved tales, sparking excitement and creativity.

Drawing inspiration from the curious world of "Alice in Wonderland," students embarked on a whimsical journey of gingerbread decorating, transforming ordinary treats into colourful confections. Laughter echoed as they crafted edible masterpieces, infusing the room with joy and camaraderie.

Injecting a dose of adrenaline into the festivities, students took aim in an archery challenge, channelling their inner heroes inspired by literary legends. With every bullseye hit, cheers erupted, fostering a sense of friendly competition and accomplishment.

Amidst the lively atmosphere, students revelled in the shared love for literature.

Hawa from Year 8 said "I'm so happy; it was the greatest and best day in school! Thank you!"

"I really loved the tea party because it had really fun games and some good snacks and was overall just really fun.
I think I was selected because I come to the library a lot and participate in any reading challenges I get." said Jasmine Year 8

Megan from Year 9 said  "I really enjoyed the tea party - it was fun to talk to other bookworms."

One thing was clear, the library stands as a haven in HAB where creative visions flourish, nurtured by the endless possibilities found within its shelves.
