Saying 'Thank You' for Gratitude Week
The final week of the half term at HAB was 'Gratitude Week' - when HAB girls took the time to send special 'gratitude postcards' to another girl or a teacher to whom they were grateful.
The idea came from our well-being sessions, and our understanding that giving thanks and being grateful has a very positive impact on our mental health.
The cards were sent anonymously through our own Pink Gratitude Postbox (pictured), with hundreds of cards delivered at the end of the week by HAB volunteer postwomen. You can see just three of the hundreds of cards below.
"It was lovely to see the girls overjoyed to receive such lovely cards, and to see what a big impact they made," said Assistant Principal Lyndsay Harris. "The staff who received cards really valued them too."
"When I'm feeling down you always cheer me up."
"Thank you for helping me achieve high scores throughout my lessons."
