Elizabeth, Year 12, Speaks at 2019 Everywoman in Tech Forum
Elizabeth, Year 12, was selected to speak at the 2019 Everywoman in Tech Forum: The Power of Diversity in March at the Hilton hotel on Park Lane. The event focused on connecting, inspiring and motivating women in tech and was held during the week of International Women’s Day.
Elizabeth (pictured centre, below) was part of a panel session that focused on the future of the workplace and how this may or may not chime with the needs and aspirations of young girls today.
She was joined by panellists: Dr Nicola Millard, Head of Customer Insight and Futures, BT Global Services Innovation Team; and Shahd Ahmed, Intern, Microsoft. You can hear Elizabeth talking in the film below.
Several members of the audience, including the Chief Digital and Information Officer of HMRC commented on how she presented her thoughts clearly and concisely. Members of the BBC and PWC have reached out to Elizabeth with the hopes of arranging some work experience.
Well done Elizabeth on an excellent job!
Elizabeth is a Youth Ambassador for Modern Muse, a charity that helps girls explore their subject choices and empowers them to make more informed career decisions and be future leaders. Read a report of the 2019 Everywoman in Tech Forum.
