Students Photograph Christmas Show
Three photography club students, Desire, Nour and Talia-Rae, took some excellent pictures of our Christmas Show at the end of last term.
This was their first experience of performance photography and they showed stamina and resilience by photographing the dress-rehearsal and performance with keen attention.
Nour, who also performed as a drummer during the show, said: "My arm is aching from holding the camera but that was a really great experience". Nour experimented with different positions with some wonderful close-up shots of performers.
Desire was in a fixed position with a tripod at the back of the hall and she achieved some spectacular shots, timed to perfection to capture some of the jumps in dance.
Talia-Rae was very subtle in her approach and although she was moving around the space she remained invisible which is a great attribute for a performance photographer. Talia’s images were high-quality and considered.
