Thank you for suggesting the idea of using a timeline to support and encourage students to narrate events in their answers! Year 11s have worked on these during their intervention today and found them extremely useful.

Diver Andrea , Year 8, Aims for Olympics

We're really #ProudToBeHAB of Andrea, Year 8, who's had an incredibly successful season of diving, winning many medals including a Gold in the 10 metres platform dive at the British Elite Junior Diving Championship.

She also won a Bronze in the same dive at the British senior championship, even though she's only 13 and the rest of the competitors were over 16.

Andrea (pictured below, centre) trains every weekday except Monday from 4.30pm to 8pm, while on Saturday it's from 7am till 5pm and on Sunday from 8am to 12pm.

Andrea's aim for next season is to reach a high level of performance so she can qualify to go European in 2019, and eventually compete in an Olympics.

“I love diving because it is exciting," says Andrea (pictured below, centre, with her coach, former World Champion Lin Chen). "Every training session feels like a competition as I always try to perfect my dives so that I’m ready for anything."

Andrea appreciates the support she gets from HAB. "School is great! They support me with my training and allow me to go to training during school. I am so grateful for the support. They always congratulate me and allow me to train to fully reach my goal."

We are very #ProudToBeHAB of you, Andrea! Here's another amazing picture of Andrea diving. She's the diver on the right.
