Alison and Sanaa on Their IntoUniversity Experience
Two students, Alison and Sanaa, on their experience of the IntoUniversity programme, which supports young people to attain either a university place or another chosen aspiration.
As part of IntoUniversity we went on a trip to Allen & Overy which is an international law firm that provides legal services for global business and industry. We had to work in two groups representing Madrid and Chicago, and had to compete for which city the Global Games should be held.
We both learnt the importance of having different roles and how it impacts the business. Roles that we had to take on included the CEO, the finance manager, the social media manager and the debate manager. We experienced the intensity of meetings with short deadlines and what a working lunch feels like! This was so we could have a full insight of what it would be like coordinating large events.
