School options booklet

Our School options booklet is designed to guide students and parents through the important process of selecting GCSE subjects for Key Stage 4. It provides essential information on core and optional subjects, course content, assessment methods, and guidance to help students make informed choices based on their strengths, interests, and future aspirations. Online parent teams webinar video

Subject Assemblies  

January /February  

Students will receive a series of assemblies from the heads of department and faculties about what the subject option is like to study and future study and employment options. 

 

Online Parent Teams Meeting: Introduction to the Options process  

Wednesday 10th February   

5.30pm  

Parents are invited to attend an online introduction.  


We will share information about the available options subjects and the HAB process of selecting GCSE options.  

Yr 9 Parent Evenings and Options Evening  

Thursday 
11th March 

 

  • Parents and students will receive reports of their current progress in subjects. 

  • Conversations about strengths and areas for development will guide and support students in their GCSE options choices  

  • Options choices will be made with a member of the senior leadership team.  

Offers will be confirmed  

June 2026 

Letters will be sent home confirming the options that students will study for GCSE from 2026-2028.
