In this section of our site you'll find lots of helpful resources to help you make the transition from your primary school to HAB.
The best place to start is the HAB Transition handbook for pupils with lots of HAB hacks and video links to help you understand your feelings during the change. There is also a Welcome Booklet created by our current Year 7 pupils which explain A Day at HAB and gives lots of great advice.

Parents and carers - this section is just for you, and will provide you with useful tips and information to help you and your daughter make a successful transition to HAB.
Year 6 - Timeline of transition actions
March 2026
- Acceptance of your place
April 2026
- Complete the online HAB Student Details Form
- Complete the HAB Medical Information Form and return by post or email to admissions@harrisbermondsey.org.uk
May 2026
- Register for our Year 6 Enrichment Clubs
- Welcome Evening, an opportunity to meet the Principal & Senior Leaders
- Engage your daughter with online HAB Transition Passports
June 2026
- Sign up for our Year 6 Enrichment Clubs to get a taste of our extracurricular opportunities
- Complete the Language Survey to let us know if your child would prefer to study French or Spanish
- Make contact with SEND and/or Safeguarding teams via with any relevant information to support your daughter’s transition.
July 2026
- Induction Day for students and Uniform Day.
- Sign up to ParentPay - Download our parents guide to ParentPay.
- Apply for Free School Meals (this does not carry over from Primary School automatically). Download our parents' guide to free school meals.
- Order HAB Uniform from Stevensons.

Uniform for new students -
how to order
HAB uniform is supplied by an online school outfitter, Stevensons. Please see our uniform page for details of how to order.
We also plan to hold a uniform sizing day over the summer and we'll have more information towards the end of the summer term. This is not a compulsory event, but we appreciate that some of you may value an opportunity to see the sizing of the uniform before placing an order.
September start dates
Once your daughter has had her Year 7 induction day in early September she will attend every day thereafter.
