Our Open Events give prospective students, families and local primary schools the opportunity to experience life at Harris Academy Bermondsey. Whether you're booking a Year 5 workshop for your class or visiting us with your child for a Year 6 Open Event, we look forward to welcoming you to our academy.

Year 5 Workshops – Summer 2026

For Primary School Teachers

We are delighted to invite Year 5 classes from local primary schools to take part in our exciting programme of curriculum workshops.

Running from 15 June to 2 July 2026, these one-hour sessions give pupils the opportunity to visit a secondary school, explore specialist classrooms and participate in engaging, hands-on activities led by our expert teachers.

Each workshop is designed for a class of up to 28 Year 5 pupils and offers an inspiring introduction to secondary school learning.

Choose from a wide range of subjects including:

• STEM
• Creative Arts
• Humanities
• Modern Foreign Languages

Whether your class is investigating scientific concepts, performing Greek drama or exploring Chinese calligraphy, there is something to inspire every learner.

Year 6 Open Events – Autumn 2026

For Parents and Carers

Choosing the right secondary school is an important decision, and our Open Events are the perfect opportunity to discover what makes Harris Academy Bermondsey such a vibrant and inspiring place to learn.

Visit us during the school day to see lessons in action, or join us at our Open Evening to experience the academy after school.

During your visit you'll have the opportunity to:
