Our Autumn Fête: Celebrating Community, Creativity and House Spirit!

Our Autumn Fête: Celebrating Community, Creativity and House Spirit!

On Friday 16th October, our school community came together at lunchtime for our first HAB Autumn Fête, a fun-filled and colourful event celebrating teamwork, creativity and friendly competition!

Students and staff at HAB belong to one of four houses—Red, Blue, Green or Yellow. Throughout the year, the houses take part in events and challenges, earning points towards the overall house competition.

The Autumn Fête brought together two parts of the house system: fundraising and house points. Each house ran a food stall in its house colour, selling tasty treats to raise money towards its end-of-year celebration. Students could also support the fundraising by taking part in a range of games and activities, while earning points for their house.

Fundraising Totals

Green House raised £12.01, Blue House raised £21.93, Yellow House raised £33.82 and Red House raised £109.00 through their food stalls.

Together, the four house stalls raised £176.76, with students contributing a further £85.33 through the games. This brought the total raised during the fête to an impressive £262.09!

Fundraising totals

Every penny raised will go towards supporting the houses’ end-of-year celebrations, making the students’ hard work, teamwork and enthusiasm even more rewarding. A huge well done to everyone who contributed to this fantastic achievement!

House Points Update

Alongside the fundraising, houses collected points throughout the event. Green House earned 145 points at the fête, Red House earned 115, Yellow House earned 110 and Blue House earned 50.

These points were added to the houses’ running autumn totals. Green House now has 175 points, closely followed by Red House with 165. Yellow House has 110 points and Blue House has 70.

Housepoints

With the autumn term still underway, there are plenty more opportunities for every house to earn points and continue building towards its goals.

It was wonderful to see such enthusiasm across all four houses, with students and staff working together and contributing to the spirit of friendly competition.
