See What Life at HAB6 Is Like

Want to know a little more before you visit?

Hear directly from our students about their experiences, the subjects they study and what Sixth Form life is really like at HAB6. Our Curriculum.

Then come and meet us in person at our Open Event on Thursday 8 October, 4.30–6.30pm.

A Great Start to the Year

It’s already been a busy start for our HAB6 students, with opportunities stretching well beyond the classroom.

Five Year 13 students — Fathia, Mariya, Kelly, Ellie and Yasmin, pictured below with our Principal, Mrs Landman, and Head of Business, Mr Oranu — have been selected for the Honeywell Leadership Challenge Academy in Alabama, USA.

The programme will see them represent Harris Academy Bermondsey alongside young people from around the world. It’s a fantastic achievement and we look forward to sharing more about their journey soon.

Building a HAB6 Community

Our HAB6 students played a big part in making this year’s Macmillan Coffee Morning such a success.

Students, staff and families got behind the event with homemade and bought cakes and treats, as well as monetary donations. Together, the school community raised an impressive £332 for Macmillan.

HAB6 students helped set up and run the stalls, worked with Ms Morris to carry out allergy checks, collected donations and counted the money raised. The response from students was so enthusiastic that purchases eventually had to be limited to one item each!

Year 10 students got involved too, helping with announcements, returning serving utensils and clearing up after the sale.

It was a brilliant example of students across the school working together and of the growing sense of community and belonging at HAB.

Year 12 Take on Carroty Wood

All of our Year 12 students headed to Carroty Wood for a PGL experience focused on wellbeing and team building.

It was a chance for students to challenge themselves, work together and get to know each other better as they begin their HAB6 journey.
