Kinetika Bloco Returns with an Unforgettable Day of Music and Dance!
We were delighted to welcome Kinetika Bloco back to our school for another incredible day filled with music, dance and creativity.
Students immersed themselves in exciting dance, drumming, brass and woodwind workshops, working together to learn the vibrant piece "Silver Tops" by Claude Deppa. Our dancers brought fantastic energy, confidence and expression to the performance, helping to create a show full of movement, rhythm and excitement.
Everyone came together for two brilliant performances – the first for our new Year 6 pupils and the second at lunchtime for staff and students. The atmosphere was amazing, with the audience clapping, cheering and dancing along. It was a real celebration of teamwork, talent and joy!
It was also especially wonderful to see two of our former students return as part of the Kinetika Bloco team, inspiring the next generation of performers. Seeing them sharing their skills and passion with our students was a proud moment for our school community and a fantastic example of where creativity and dedication can lead.

Keep the Rhythm Going This Summer!
If your child enjoyed the workshops, why not join one of Kinetika Bloco's fantastic Summer Schools? They offer an exciting opportunity to make new friends, build confidence, learn new skills and perform as part of an energetic ensemble. Beginners are very welcome, and no previous experience is needed for drums or dance.
Junior Summer School
Dates: 27th–31st July 2026
Ages: 8–13 years
Venue: Hitherfield Primary School, Lambeth
Cost: Free (a £15 donation is suggested for families who are able to contribute)
Spend a fun-filled week learning samba drumming, steel pans, brass, woodwind and dance, before performing at the end of the week.

Senior Summer School
Dates: 3rd–14th August 2026
Ages: 14–25 years
Venue: Southbank Centre, Lambeth
Cost: £40 (free places are available for young people who cannot afford the fee)
Enjoy two inspiring weeks of music and dance, with opportunities to perform at festivals and events throughout the year as part of Kinetika Bloco.
