Welcoming the Class of 2033: Year 6 Tea Party
On Wednesday 15 April, we were delighted to welcome our incoming Year 6 pupils - the Class of 2033 -to a special Tea Party held at HAB.
The event offered a wonderful opportunity for pupils to visit the school, meet one another, and begin forming friendships ahead of September. From the moment they arrived, pupils were warmly greeted and guided by our HAB6 prefects, who helped ensure everyone felt at ease.
The afternoon began with a fun icebreaker activity, giving pupils the chance to get to know each other in a relaxed and supportive environment. This was followed by a traditional tea party, where pupils enjoyed refreshments together while continuing conversations and building connections.

Laughter and energy filled the room during a second interactive game, “Find Someone Who…”, which encouraged pupils to mix, chat, and discover shared interests. One pupil shared, “The games were really fun and helped us talk to people we didn’t know.”
Throughout the event, staff and prefects were on hand to support and engage with pupils, helping to create a welcoming and inclusive atmosphere. As one pupil put it, “The older students were really kind and helped us know where to go.”
We were also pleased to capture special moments from the afternoon, with photos and pupil interviews that reflect the excitement and enthusiasm of our newest cohort.
It was a joy to meet so many of our future pupils, and we look forward to welcoming the Class of 2033 back in September as they begin their journey at HAB.
Thank you to all staff, prefects, and families who supported this memorable event.
