National Recognition In Sustainability Competition
Students from HAB achieved national recognition in a sustainability competition run by Motivez by combining innovation, teamwork, and a strong commitment to real-world impact.
Motivez, an award-winning youth-led organisation founded in 2015, focusses on empowering young people aged 14–25 to access STEM opportunities and become change makers. Through its programmes delivered by relatable young professionals from leading companies such as Google, TfL, McLaren, and Rolls-Royce students gain both technical knowledge and the confidence to apply it in meaningful ways.
The HAB students stood out in the competition by developing a sustainability-focused project that addressed a genuine environmental challenge within their community. Drawing on the skills and mentorship provided through Motivez, they were able to think critically about issues such as waste reduction, energy use, or environmental awareness, and translate their ideas into a practical, scalable solution. Their success was not only a reflection of their creativity, but also their ability to communicate impact demonstrating how their solution could drive positive change both locally and more widely. This aligns closely with Motivez’s mission of developing young people who actively transform their communities and future workplaces.
