HAB Girls Win Medals in The Biology Challenge
26,828 Year 10 students from 348 schools worldwide took part in the Royal Society of Biology 2021 Biology Challenge.
The content is challenging and exceeds the GCSE curriculum. However, our students did remarkably well by winning two gold, two silver and five bronze awards.
- Gold - Ohanna D and Tasfia T (Top 5% of the world)
- Silver - Karen O and Eshal I (Top 9% of the world)
- Bronze - Bintou C, Carmella AW, Christine L, Victoria C and Eva Z (Top 14% of the world)
A number of students also received Highly Commended or Commended awards in the challenge:
Highly Commended - Victoria FS, Sera O, Isamar NV, Shahrizada M, Sofiat A, Zarrah M, Sarah C, Deanne M, Naira DS, Humaira H and Mayling A.
Commended - Ana S, Eva S, Lyla E, Azizah H, Hawa B, Samantha AV, Rawan S, Hifa S, Evelyn A, Nunnaput S, Grace A, Norhan A, Aaliyah A, Rukayat and Maymunah N.
We are all proud of our students' achievements and looking forward to making this into an annual event.
