HAB Sports Day Celebrates Pride
HAB celebrated their first ever PRIDE last week with a whole school sports day. It was an absolutely fantastic day culminating in a Harris Federation Record for the most amount of people dancing the same dance!
All students participated in the day from spectating, to dancing, to racing, to cheering on the teachers in the Vogue dance off.
Each tutor group represented a different colour of the pride rainbow, donning t-shirts of the same colour to create a pride-wide rainbow across the pitch. The purple team took the trophy winning the highest number of races, which included, egg and spoon, three legged, bean bag, sprint, long distance and relay race.
Each year group took part in the event with the staff and 6th form students battling against each other in the final race of each event.
It was a fantastic day celebrating the diversity of pride as well as the diversity of HAB. The enthusiasm and positive vibes throughout the whole day made us all #ProudToBeHAB and all were #Outstanding.
We're now getting ready to go bigger and better next year, watch this space!
