Who can apply?

Lead Practitioner accreditation is available to teachers, support staff, middle leaders, senior leaders, data managers, school business managers and apprenticeship trainers. All can exemplify the lead practitioner standards and participate in the programme, whether working part-time or full-time.

Aspiring lead practitioners will be leaders, learners and listeners. They will demonstrate, and want to develop further, the following qualities:

Cost & Timeline

We are looking to recruit ten aspiring lead practitioners for the 2019 September cohort. The cost of accreditation, including support and training is £650 per applicant. Applicants from within the Harris Federation should email the course leader directly.

The timeline for application and accreditation is as follows:

May 2019 Applications deadline for aspiring Lead Practitioners
June 2019 Selection of aspiring Lead Practitioners
July 2019 Summer launch: aspiring Lead Practitioners meet their trainers
September 2019 Twilight training session: introduction, action research and school development priorities
December 2019 - February 2020 Informal Networking sessions
April 2020 Twilight training session: self-assessment review, impact, evidence and coaching
June 2020 Accreditation window
