'An Outstanding Academy' Ofsted 2009

'OUTSTANDING' Ofsted Verdict

Ofsted praised the quality of teaching, achievement and standards at the academy. 'From the beginning of Year 7 to the time they leave, all groups of students make above average progress, most significantly so', the inspectors said.

'The academy is exceptionally well led and managed', the inspectors went on to say, 'Students are very clear about the academy's code of conduct and this has resulted in good behaviour', they added.

Dawn Rumely, Principal of the academy, said:

'I'd like to thank everyone who has worked so hard to help us achieve such a glowing report from Ofsted' 

'Its been three years since we opened our doors and in a short time we have built a really close knit community where our students feel happy and motivated.' 

Cathy Loxton, Executive Principal of the academy added:

'The inspection report is another boost on our way to even higher goals.'

'Everyone involved with the academy- students, teachers and support staff alike -believes so strongly in what we're achieving here and I am delighted that this report recognises all their hard work and commitment.'
