The inaugural Harris Academy Bermondsey Feminist Society (HABFemSoc) Supper Club is taking place on Thursday 22 February, 5-9pm, at the fabulous Tonkotsu Bankside restuarant, 4 Canvey Street, The Hollows, London SE1 9AN.
Get your tickets here (free to register but £20 to pay on the door).
One hundred years after women received the right to vote, women still face significant barriers to achieving their career goals. This evening is about the importance of us learning to network with and hear from women who have broken such barriers.
Enjoy a welcome drink followed by light bites and delicious ramen generously provided by Tonkotsu, one of London's finest Ramen restaurants.
Hosted by campaigner Kathryn Nawrockyi, we will hear about the successes, challenges and perspectives of women working in the food industry today with our guest speakers Romy Gill, the first female Indian chef-owner in the UK and Lisa Markwell, journalist and former editor of the Independent on Sunday.
We will also be joined by Penny East from SafeLives, a national charity dedicated to ending domestic abuse, for good. HABFemSoc has raised £400 for SafeLives and all proceeds from this evening will also go to the charity. Please bring any spare cash as we have special FemSoc merchandise for sale.
Tickets cost £20 on the door. Register for a ticket here.
Look forward to seeing you there!
