HAB student Andrea reaches Olympic Final for Team GB

ANdreaHuge congratulations to Harris Academy Bermondsey student Andrea Spendolini-Sirieix who competed in the 10m platform diving final at the Tokyo Olympics.

She did a fantastic performance and, placed seventh, she is now a top-10 finisher in her debut Olympics.  

This is made even more impressive as Andrea has combined training for the Olympics with studying for her GCSE exams.

Speaking to the BBC about juggling training with schoolwork, Andrea said:

“I’m so happy that my school is so supportive. They let me go to competitions and camps and they support me so much. They give me so much material, so much revision. My school has made it so easy for me, so I haven’t had any problems.”

We are so proud of Andrea’s phenomenal achievement.
