The New HAB Interform Active Challenges

We have launched a series of interform practical challenges that students can complete remotely.

Challenge 3Each week, challenges are posted as part of Wednesday tasks, but girls have a full week to complete them.

To show they have taken part, they must upload a photo of the moment they complete the challenge to their interform colour on our Active Challenge page.

Girls compete for their tutor group and also alongside other tutor groups with the same colour.

  • 7A, 8A & 9A = red
  • 7B, 8B & 9B = orange
  • 7C, 8C & 9C =Yellow
  • 7D, 8D & 9D = Green
  • 7E, 8E & 9E = Blue
  • 7F, 8F & 9F = Purple

The colours with the highest percentage of girls who upload photos will win the most points! Tutor groups vary in size so we will award the points to the highest percentage of tutees participating in each weekly challenge.

And better still, there are prizes for both the levels of participation and for winning in the challenges. Tutor groups enjoy these prizes together.

"Building purpose, support and community"

"Interform competitions provide great opportunities to build purpose, support and community both within tutor groups and the wider HAB community," said Ms Donnelly. "Within each tutor group, some girls want to participate, some want to support, and others want to organise!"

Through the activities and physical challenges, tutor groups creates great positive identity, empathy, reliance and mutual support for each other.

"Previously, we have had interform competitions in football and netball and run these normally during PE lesson, or in an after-school matches. The points won by each group were accumulated and added to the totals on HAB Sports Day (pictured)," said Ms Donnelly.

"Although it is impossible to determine whether we can have a sports day this year, we can still complete the series of remote individual challenges, and in the school team-based challenges to accumulate points and win prizes!"

The HAB Active Challenges will continue when students return to school and run until the end of the academic year.
