Parliament Terrorist Attack - A Message from the Principal

Dear HAB Parents & Carers

I am writing to you following yesterday's terrorist attack here in London.

Please be reassured that my number one priority is to keep your daughters safe. This means that I and other senior staff keep a constant watch on what is happening in London every day, as well as receiving advice from the Metropolitan Police and other authorities about anything that may affect HAB girls’ safety and wellbeing.

We will show our respect for those who died and reflect on the meaning of such tragic events during assemblies next week.  In the meantime, we intend to continue providing an outstanding education for your daughters.  This means following regular timetabled lessons as normal and that any trips or other activities will continue to take place.  I will notify you should this need to change.

It is challenging for all of us to live through times of terrorist threat.  I am very proud to lead a school in which parents, carers, staff, governors and students are united in our condemnation of anyone who attempts to create fear, whether that be the perpetrators of yesterday’s attacks or others who may try to use these events to promote prejudice against particular groups of people.

Everything that we do at HAB is designed to help create a more equal, diverse and inclusive society for your daughters, whether that be in times of great sadness or in the better days that I know we all hope lie ahead.

With all good wishes,

Alan Dane

Principal
