HAB girls have their own stunning photography show at the Art Bermondsey Project Space until 25 March, thanks to a project at the school run in partnership with the  Olympus photography outreach programme.

The girls have been using top-of-the-range Olympus cameras for a photography project on the theme of 'surfaces', with each Year 10 girl submitting her three best images to the Bermondsey Street gallery.

The show opened with a private view and an announcement of the winners, with first prize going to Rylette for the amazing image below which she called Burnt.

Well done to all the group for an excellent project and a truly amazing exhibition.

"The quality and serious intent of the photographs produced by the girls at Harris Academy Bermondsey ably demonstrate that we should not be misled by the plethora of camera-phone snappy snaps that pollute the airwaves. The private view began with a visit to the gallery by our girls, where they had a Q&A with artist Nick Malone.
