Christmas Concert 2019 - Pictures By Our Photography Club
Photography Club students documented our Christmas Concert 2019, and we thought you might like to see a selection of their favourite photos!

“I have been attending Photography Club since Year 9 and this is the second Christmas Concert I have photographed. It felt easier this time because I already have experience of doing it before and I understood what I needed to do.” Shayma, Year 11

“I have only been doing Photography Club for six weeks and I took the opportunity to photograph the concert to learn more skills. I used a 50mm prime lens and sat in the front row, I wanted to know the limitations of the lens from sitting in a fixed position. I really enjoyed it.” Tasfia, Year 9
Pictures by Emily, Year 9
“I photographed the rehearsal. It was a new experience for me using the DSLR camera as I have only been doing Photography Club for six weeks. I enjoyed photographing the action and movement rather than posed shots. I like to capture the perfect moment.” Emily, Year 9
“Photographing the events gives our young photographers a chance to understand how it feels to be a photographer in the industry and also to learn the cameras settings for this genre of photography,” said Miss Houssein. “Performance photography is great fun and although only Dance, Cheerleading and Physical Theatre is represented in their favourite images here there will be many more photographs coming soon, showcasing all the other talented performers too.”
Also, a shout out to Khudija and Ilham from Year 11 who operated the lighting and sound for the show. Being drama students really helps with understanding timing and mood for shows. They both worked so hard all day to make the show go smoothly.
Miss Clements, Head of Arts, said: “Our HAB students gave a wonderful performance of Dance, Drama and Music. They showcased physical theatre, cheerleading, contemporary dance, strings, percussion and singing among many other talents. The students work so hard in lessons and extra-curricular clubs to improve their abilities and they truly shone last night. A huge well done to all students involved. The Arts faculty are incredibly #ProudToBeHab of you all.”
